Nike Free 3.0 Running Shoes

I have been using my Nike Free 3.0 Running Shoes for about 6 months now and thought I would write a little review on them as I know that many runners like me will find it very useful as I was looking around for a good review before I bought my Nike Free's. These work really well for my style of running which is derived from the Bare Foot Running technique. The fist thing that you will notice is the weight of the shoes I was very surprised on how light the Nike free are, almost feather weight. This would be down to the full mesh top that at first sight looks to flimsy but is surprisingly strong, The sole of the running shoe is a very flexible design, by that i mean you can flex the shoe in every direction and the block style just moves with the flexing.

The Nike Free 3.0 is a very comfortable shoe fits like a glove at first try which was great as they come in half sizes so you should be able to find a pair to fit. The extreme flexibility from the grooved sole allows your foot to move as it wishes, not how the shoe wishes. The insole provides some support but you might find that you want to remove it this brings you a bit closer to the Bare Foot Feeling, the shoe provides enough cushioning to make every walk or run a joy.

I find that the Nike Free 3.0 is Designed to imitate running barefoot, with extreme flexibility in the sole and upper also they claim that they train intrinsic muscles, strengthening your foot and giving you more natural stability yes and no to this claim Just going Bare Foot give you the best training for your foot muscles but the Nike Frees 3.0 do a good job.

The full mesh design is very Comfortable and highly ventilated this gave my feet an very nice feeling as I don't bother with wearing socks, you seem to get a breeze due to the movement of your feet in the process of running and if the wind blows a bit you get a nice boost of cool air sou rounding your feet. The Nike Free 3.0 is the best thing next to full bare foot running the sole is grooved allowing your foot to flex in a way that the foot has been designed to flex they are extremely lightweight which was very important to me as having great big weight on my feet like most of the modern running shoes are just makes it hard to run and I find takes the joy out of running.

My first run in my new runners was going to be a few laps around my local oval where I do a lot of my sprint lap training. I usually like to run barefoot around this oval so I am very keen to get a feel of the Nike's. Well I must say the feel of the ground is transmitted through the shoes and into my feet was very good and this was one on the things i wanted from this style of shoe, and now I understand the block shape of the sole this flexibility in every direction really goes a long way to achieving the transfer of the shape of the ground into my foot very similar to the sensation of running barefoot. I will be doing a few 10k runs along the Torrens River so will update on what happens, but my first impressions of the Nike free 3.0 is very good.

If you are a Fan of Bare Foot Running and are looking for a running shoe the I would recommend the Nike Free 3.0 as for durability and strength this worried me to start of with but after using them for 6 months and putting them through the washing machine several times to keep the clean they really do stand up to the wear and tear that I put them through.
